It is the new economic measure that from 1 March 2022 replaces many of the benefits regarding the dependent children.
It is attributed to families that have:
dependent minor children (for new borns, it starts from the seventh month of pregnancy);
dependent adult children up to the age of 21 as long as they attend a school or professional training course or a degree course; or carry out an internship or work activity and have a total income of less than 8,000 euros per year; or have made immediate availability for work; or carry out universal civil service;
dependent children with disabilities, without age limits.
The allowance is guaranteed in a minimum extent to all families with dependent children, even in the absence of ISEE or with ISEE exceeding the threshold of 40 thousand euros.
The allowance ranges from a minimum of € 50 per month to a maximum of € 175 per month for each dependent minor child.
For dependent children aged between 18 and 21, the amount is different, however, from a minimum of € 25 per month to a maximum of € 85 per month.
Surcharges are envisaged in the case of dependent children with disabilities, mothers under the age of 21, large families, both working parents, families with Isee less than € 25 thousand.
