Naspi, New Social Insurance for Employment, is an economic support that the State reserves monthly to those who have lost their jobs for reasons beyond their control.
The NASPI is for employees who have lost their jobs involuntarily:
Permanent employees of the private sector;
Temporary employees of the private sector and public administration;
Employed persons in the artistic sector;
Workers’ members of cooperatives who have an employment relationship with them.
The benefit is equal to 75% of the average monthly taxable wage for social security purposes (NOT the net in payroll) of the last four years. The monthly unemployment allowance, in any case, cannot exceed the maximum limit established each year on the basis of ISTAT changes (for 2021, it could not exceed 1,335.40 euros).
The NASPI is paid monthly for a number of weeks equal to half of the contribution weeks in the last four years.
